Eula Marie Massengale Larabee 85, Clearmont, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, Missouri.
She was born April 8, 1924 near Graham, Mo., the daughter of Charles William and Elizabeth (Rauch) Massengale. Eula graduated from Graham High School in the class of 1942. She married Eldon Elbert Larabee, January 30, 1946 in Hiawatha, Kan.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Hopkins First Christian Church and Christian Women’s Fellowship, Hopkins; the American Legion Auxiliaries in Braddyville, Iowa and Burlington Junction, Mo.; North Nodaway Band parents; Helping Hands Club and many neighborhood Clubs. Eula also served as an Election Judge in Clearmont for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Eldon Larabee on November 8, 2001; a daughter: Janice Marie Ellen Larabee; her parents; brothers: John and Denzil Massengale and great-granddaughter: Briley Hull.
Mrs. Larabee is survived by her children: Linda (Allen) Davison, Maryville, Mo.; sherry (Joel) Rybolt, Ft. Gibson, Okla.; Eldon Lee (Elaine) Burlington Junction, Mo.; Kenneth Larabee and his fiancé Debbie Valencia, St. Joseph, Mo., and Philip (Lora) Larabee, Pickering, Mo.; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held 6 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Mo. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the First Christian Church, Hopkins, Mo. Burial is in Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham, Mo.
