John Wesley Porter was born April 4, 1937 at Burlington Junction, MO to Gerald Woodrow Porter and Marjorie Wanda (Martin) Porter. He passed away at the age of 73 at his residence in Bedford, IA on Saturday, July 10, 2010.
John was preceded in death by his first wife, Lavon Porter; parents; sister, Betty Porter; and brother, Keith Porter.
He is survived by his wife, Rondy Porter of Bedford, IA; sisters Delores (Walter) Williams, Maryville, MO, Pat (Raymond) Coulter, Conception Junction, MO, Carol (Leo) Long, Elmo, MO, and Sharon (Frank) Schupp, Tarkio, MO; step daughters, Zhlao Lynn of Japan, Lahoma Reese, Clarinda, IA, and Martina Reese, Bedford, IA; two step grandchildren, Zachary and Natalie Reese; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Club House at 2514 Aurora Ave, Maryville, MO.
