Marie (Baker) Murphy was born May 23, 1963, in Lincoln, Nebraska. She passed away from this life on July 11, 2010, in Omaha, Nebraska.
Marie and Ryan Murphy were married on December 29, 1986. She lived all her life in Southwest Iowa and was happiest as a stay at home mom raising her children and home schooling them. Marie also attended church three times a week.
She raised a garden and canned what came from it. Marie worked at several jobs but especially liked restaurant work. Riding motorcycles was one of her special thrills.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents Vernon and Maxine Baker; mother Lois Baker; son Flagg Murphy; and daughter Starlet Baker.
Left to miss her greatly are her sons Travis Wymore and Levi Platt and wife Tisha and children Jeron and Kimber Lee; daughter Lyndsey and children Victoria, Damon and Caden and fiancé Jerry Rupp.
Because she was an only child the Lord chose sisters for her: Sharon Manchester, Patricia Graham, Orene Lewis, Tammy Christiansen; spare mom Terry Lea Crowley; niece Tabby Fassler; and nephew Kody Whipple. Her canine friends Grace, LeeRoy and Sister and her hen Doodle are left behind to miss her greatly.
Celebration of Life services for Lois 'Marie' Murphy, 47 of Clarinda, will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home in Clarinda, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the start of the service. Interment will be following the service at Memory Cemetery, New Market, Iowa.
Memorials are suggested to a fund in Marie's name.
